Flu Shot?

November 12th, 2008

According to Dr. Hugh Fudenberg, one of the world’s leading immunogeneticists/ immunologists, winner of numerous honors with over 850 papers in peer reviewed journals, 5 consecutive flu shots increase your chance of developing Alzheimer’s Disease by 10 times!  Dr. Fudenberg says the mercury and aluminum in flu (and many childhood) vaccines damage the brainDr. Fudenberg’s comments are from his speech at the NVIC International Vaccine Conference, Arlington, VA., September 1997. Dr. Hugh Fudenberg, MD Hazards of Vaccines 1 & 2 in Internet. J. Clin. Invest., 2000 & 2004.  Bio and achievements are at: http://www.nitrf.org/fudenberg.html.

“There is no evidence that any influenza vaccine thus far developed is effective in preventing or mitigating any attack of influenza (flu virus).  The producers of these vaccines know that they are worthless, but they go on selling them anyway.”  - Dr. J. Anthony Morris, formerly Chief Vaccine Control Officer at the US Food and Drug Administration http://www.vran.org/vaccines/flu/flu-facts.htm

How many flu viruses are there?  Between October 1,2 003 and April 9, 2004, the CDC identified 863 DIFFERENT influenza viruses.  Even if one assumes that the flu vaccines “work” for the three chosen strains, what about the other 860 influenza viruses in circulation?  Source:  http://www.whale.to/a/ten12.html

Of the vaccines today that still contain mercury, the flu vaccine is the biggest concern, according to Dr. David Ayoub, the director of the Prairie Collaborative for Immunization.  About 80 percent of flu vaccines contain as much as 25 micrograms of mercury per dose.  The EPA’s safe limit for mercury is 0.1 mcg/kg, so everyone who gets the flu vaccine receives an overdose of mercury.  You would have to weigh at least 550 pounds to receive a flu shot and be within the safe federal exposure limits for mercury.  Source:  http://www.health-truth.com/130.php?PHPSESSID=406dc1d15c708c7b591444abb3c4317a

Do 36,000 people really die from the flu?  It’s less than 1,000, mostly the weak, malnourished, over-medicated elderly.  Find out how the CDC is making up numbers and scaring people into getting the flu shot.  See the Flu Scare Game by John Keller at http://www.whale.to/a/keller1.html

  •  Ethylene Glycol (antifreeze)
  • Phenol, also known as carbolic acid (this is used as a disinfectant, dye)
  • Formaldehyde, a known cancer-causing agent
  • Aluminum, which is associated with Alzheimer’s disease and seizures and also cancer producing in laboratory mice (it is used as an additive to promote antibody response)
  • Thimerosal (a mercury disinfectant/preservative) can result in brain injury and autoimmune disease
  • Neomycin and Streptomycin (used as antibiotics) have caused allergic reaction in some people.
  • Vaccines are also grown and strained through animal or human tissues like monkey kidney tissue, chicken embryo, embryonic guinea pig cells, calf serum, and human diploid cells (the dissected organs of aborted human fetuses as in the case of rubella, hepatitis A and chickenpox vaccines).

Quick Fix or Lack of Discipline?

November 8th, 2008

by Dr. Gordon Fimreite

I don’t think anyone would admit that they prefer a quick fix over a solution to their health problem. But I would also say that a lack of self-discipline is a huge contribution to the crises of health in our country. We have an abundant of information on health and ways to stay healthy. Why doesn’t that translate into usable knowledge and a healthier society? The majority of Americans take their health for granted until there’s something’s wrong, sadly it’s when diseases such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes have already manifested. This type of approach or lack of approach is taking years off people’s lives at the expense of their loved ones having to prematurely grieve. If you look at the definition of Health, it’s defined as the optimal of mental, physical and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity (Dorland’s Dictionary). If you really look at what that means, it’s the optimal, meaning the best you can be weather you feel it or not. To be the best you can be means you have to work at it. Jack Lalanne, the fitness guru from the 1950’s who is well into his 90’s today, says that his debt to being healthy is working-out 2 per day. The only nutrients he puts into his body, are the ones that his body are going to use to make him healthy. He says he frowns upon people who complain about their health and pray to get healthier. He says you have the God given tools and knowledge to get out there and earn it and BE healthy. He says God gave each of us the ability to choose to be healthy. If we judge health on how we feel, that means the body will deteriorate and degenerate until symptoms show up. Typically symptoms don’t show up until your body has already broken down by 60%. Once symptoms arise, that’s when our insurance will cover for care and that’s when our medical doctors will see you. Think about that for a moment. Our healthcare is based on symptoms and once your doctor’s see you, your body has broken down to a point of crises. That’s a contradiction to health according to the Dorland’s meaning of health. It’s also a contradiction to call care in our hospitals and clinics healthcare because that has nothing to do with being and keeping health. Why do we maintain our cars with regular oil and filter changes as well as rotate the tires. We want to get more miles and use out of that car. We know that if we let it break down, it’s more expensive and more difficult to fix. How about from our bodies? Why isn’t there the same recognition? The quick fixes of today are the chronic illnesses of tomorrow.  The lack of self discipline also leads to the chronic illnesses of tomorrow. The bottom line is a lack of self discipline is the difference between living a short and potentially suffering life versus living a healthy fulfilling life. You get to choose.

Pharmaceuticals by Dr. Gordon Fimreite

October 16th, 2008

My chiropractic office is around the corner from a medical doctor’s office and we share parking lots. This morning I was arriving to my office and saw a pharmaceutical representative digging in her back seat for drug samples, brochures, etc. I wanted to know more about her line of work, so I introduced myself and started asking her questions. I was curious about what the background of pharmaceutical reps were. I’m thinking since they are the source of information for our doctors in this country, they must all be biochemistry and chemistry majors. That would make the most logic to me. After all, the body’s physiology works in part through a complexity of biochemical interactions. Then I got to thinking, do medical doctors really go home after a busy day and compare the ingredients of each of the company’s products. Do they examine the potential interaction with other foods and other nutrients as well as know what all the side effects are? This rep recognized that she is the source of information for the doctor’s she sells to and says that’s the standard in her industry. The majority of drugs in the market today weren’t even around when the doctor’s who’s prescribing them graduated from medical school. So the SOURCE of information IS from the pharmaceutical representative not the medical doctor’s own deductive logic reasoning from the years of medical training. With this in mind, I’m thinking that the life’s of millions of Americans when taking drugs and medications must ultimately be in the hands of the pharmaceutical reps because they’re the one’s who are educating our medical doctors, right? So I’m thinking the pharmaceutical representative have to have biochemistry and chemistry doctorates degree, right? I was surprised to find out that majority of our pharmaceutical reps are marketing and management majors. This disturbs me. How can you rely on information from a marketing or management degreed person whose only interest is selling for a profit? How can that NOT be a contradiction? Pharmaceutical companies hire their own research scientists to make products that sell and make a profit that serves in the best interest of their stockholders and upper management. Do upper management even have doctorates in biochemistry or are they too business people?  It’s no wonder why the pharmaceutical industries has one of the highest profits of all companies in the United States, yet why is the health in this country so poor? We’re only 5% of the world’s population and yet we consume up to 70% or more of the drugs produced worldwide. Should that not make our country the healthiest in the world? I think we have it all wrong in this country. HEALTH DOES NOT COME FROM OUTSIDE IN from drugs and other products as well as surgeries that interfere with the way the body was designed to work. HEALTH COMES FROM INSIDE OUT. If I cut my arm does the doctor heal that cut? Who heals that cut? Our body heals that cut. Our body has an innate healing power that is being ignored and everyone is looking for a quick fix of symptoms, without looking at the cause or long-term side effects of taking those chemicals. How many truly healthy older people do you know taking medications? True health comes from inside, by eating the correct nutrients so your body can grow and properly replicate. It comes from exercise and getting proper oxygenation to all the cells of our body. Healthy people avoid medication, unless it’s a life saving and life sustaining. And ultimately health comes from a proper functioning nervous systems and chiropractic must be incorporated to sustain life to all the systems and organs in our body. My question when it comes to drugs and medications is - are you going to die due to the condition you’re taking the medication for, or are you going to die due to the side effects. Most side effects develop obscurely. As a result, they are treated with more drugs and medications until your body develops a disease. The disease develops because the body can no longer adapt to its internal environment. It’s a universal law that healing and health come from within.

Can I Adjust My Own Spine?

October 13th, 2008

by Dr. Gordon Fimreite

When someone is stretching or bending in certain positions, they may feel a “crack” or “pop”. I frequently get asked if they are adjusting their own spine. The quick answer to this question is no, it’s just joint noise. There is nothing corrective by stretching and bending. To fully answer the question, I have to let you into my thinking as a chiropractor when I approach patient care. The first thing is to determine where the problem is. It’s based on several factors; X-rays reveal misalignment, SEMG & Thermography referred to nerve scan, will show nerve tissue pressure and/or damage. Palpation (feeling abnormalities in the spine) will support the findings above. You can also observe the posture and bilateral weight difference of individuals to give more indicators on the effects of subluxation. Once the area along the spine has been determined as subluxated, it now becomes a process to adjust it into the proper position. The way the body works is if you’re 30 lbs overweight and you want to lose it, you have to diet consistently over time. It’s a consistent directional effort to make that change. Much like a body builder who develops his muscles over time or someone who wears braces to straighten their teeth. It’s just the way the body responds. It takes time and consistency. When people think that the audible noise that happens when they stretch or bend is an adjustment. I have to remind them that the noise is NOT the objective. The process of taking pressure off the nerves by adjusting the spine in a specific direction based on x-ray findings is the objective. One of the easiest ways to see if the adjustments are effective is to take post x-rays at the end of the care plan and perform a nerve scan. Proper exercises must be incorporated with the adjustments to support the alignment. The most significant thing that happens by realigning the spine is the pressure and/or damage on the spinal nerves and spinal cord is slowly being taken off. This is significant because the life that controls all our healing in our body comes from the brain and is communicated through the spine to get to all the organs and systems that run the body. By stretching to a point where there is an audible, well … it’s just noise. There’s no directional realigning taking place. There would be NO post x-rays revealing realignment. Therefore there would be no pressure off the spine and nervous system. The real objective of chiropractic is to realign the spine and take pressure and/or damage off the nervous system. This is why people get relief from a wide variety of symptoms. The nervous system is what controls all the health and healing in our body. It’s the adjustments that allow that expression of life in our body. To find out more about what the “pop” or “crack” noise is, please read my blog entitled, What’s the “Pop” or “Crack” Sound?

Healing Crisis and Health Care

June 25th, 2008

by Dr. Gordon Fimreite

According to Dr. Geerd Hamer’s German New Medicine, the signs and symptoms that conventional medicine views as “disease,” are in fact signs of a HEALING CRISIS; once it’s over, you’re well on your way to be fully cured and good as new. Unfortunately, conventional medicine views this healing cycle as something to be eradicated, and put you on invasive treatments, which either delays or stops your natural healing altogether. Physiologically we’re are designed to live up to 120 years.  This is according to a Harvard Medical Study and the Bible - Genesis 6:2.  Other studies point out that we’re designed to be healthy from 80 years of age well into the 100’s.  So, why is the average American’s body breaking down so early?  Today in the United States, only 1 out of 1000 adults who make it to the age of 60 are in good health.  Good health in terms of not taking any medication and able to go for a run or do any activity without restrictions, if desired.  Why is America’s health status so poor?  The U.S. is ranked 37th by the World Health Organization, when the brightest and best doctors in the world are using the best technology?  Could it be that our current medical system does nothing for our health and vitality?  That our current medical model is designed for sick and crises care, not health care?  After all when you present your insurance card, what is it that it’s going to cover?  Problems that already exist.  Our health care system is not set up to prevent illness or disease. It’s the way the system is set up. The health in this country will change for the better when you and I can present our insurance card and it pays for everything needed to preserve our health.  There’s actually billions of dollars made off the system the way it is, so why change a system that works for the financial gains of our pharmaceuticals and insurance companies?  The pharmaceutical industry and insurance companies control our current health care system.  The bottom line is that we have to individually take a proactive stance on our own health and vitality.  We live with a system that isn’t working and the amount of people who are sick and suffering is growing at alarming rates. We’re told to take drugs, which are making other parts of our body sicker and more toxic.  Harmony, order, balance and vitality does not come from medications. It comes from within, from a body that is free from toxicities and deficiencies.  In general, we’re born to be healthy.  It’s what our natural state is suppose to be.  The body will heal under the most trying of circumstances.  You can progress in a state of health, or in a state of deficiencies and/ or toxicities resulting in sickness and disease.

Why Regular Chiropractic Care?

June 13th, 2008

Dr. Gordon Fimreite

When you care about your car, you keep it running by regular maintenance
- oil changes, tire rotations, new brakes, etc. Your spine also need maintenance. It
needs a regular chiropractic adjustments to restore proper motion and function to the
nervous system.

Why maintain on-going chiropractic adjustments?

Coulter, Ph.D. Study of those under chiropractic care to those who aren’t:

                                    With Chiropractic     No Chiropractic
Good/Excellent Health              87%                       68%
Avoid Nursing Homes                96%                       52%
Avoid Hospitals                         74%                       52%

“People with five years of Chiropractic care had immune systems that were 400% stronger than cancer patients and 200% stronger than those without cancer.”   R. Pero, Ph.D. - New York University

What’s the “Pop” or “Crack” Sound?

June 11th, 2008

by Dr. Gordon Fimreite

Unfortunately there’s an audible sound that happens with a chiropractic adjustment. I say unfortunately because most people think that’s what the objective of chiropractic is. There could be nothing further from the truth. The objective of the chiropractic adjustment is to restore nerve and nervous system function by removing pressure caused by accidents, poor posture, birth trauma, etc. etc. These blocked nerve and nervous system patterns have devastating consequences to the function of our body over time. So the sound during the adjustment is not the objective. In fact there are several chiropractic techniques that don’t elicit the sound so often associated with chiropractic. The sound during the adjustments happens in response to the sudden change in pressure in the spinal joint, along with nitrogen air molecules coalescing together. It’s similar to opening a Champaign bottle - the sudden pressure change along with the air bubbles coming together makes the sound. When people share their experiences of chiropractic with others by saying their chiropractor “cracked” or “popped” their neck or back and now feel better. I can see why some people have a skewed sense of what chiropractic is. I’d prefer to hear, “my chiropractor is removing nerve pressure and I feel great!” The sound during the chiropractic adjustment is NOT bone rubbing on bone. That is not the case at all. Bone rubbing on bone would be called arthritis and it would be exceptionally painful. The noise during a chiropractic adjustment is simply air pressure in the spinal joints.

Children’s View Of What Health Is

June 2nd, 2008

by Dr. Gordon Fimreite

My office is across the street from the local high school and next to a pediatric clinic, so inevitably I get a lot of children as patients. I find the health and the trend of where health is going unbelievable. We are living in the first generation where our children are expected to live shorter life expectancies than their parents. As a result, the average life expectancy is expected to drop by 5 years. I find this unacceptable considering the overwhelming amount of knowledge available to make sound health decisions. We have everything available to live incredible lifestyles, which would prevent the majority of diseases plaguing this country. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not the lack of knowledge, but perhaps a lack of will power. And this lack of will power is taking years off the back end of our children’s lives, not to mention the quality right now. One of my patients is a teacher who is active in the school’s health and wellness programs. I put together a survey and with his assistance we administered the survey to 116 students between 14 and 18 year olds. The survey was an attempt to evaluate what children think of health and what their views and perceptions of health is. I asked in the survey if it’s normal for people who are 30, 40, 50 or 60 years of age to be heavy, in which 69% said it’s not normal for people in that age group to be heavy. However, 32% said it was normal to be heavy in that age group. Then next question was if it was normal to have a disease in that age group, in which 71% said it was not normal to have a disease.  I found it interesting that 27% said it was normal. They were then asked if it’s normal to be over weight when one gets older, in which 24% said yes. I also asked if it’s normal to get a disease when one get older, in which 34% said it was. The question I found most remarkable was if the children themselves expected to have one or more of the following; heavy, have at lest one disease, don’t have fun, feel tired & sleepy, have digestive problems, or expect none of the above. Only 53% said they didn’t expect to have any of the problems listed. What I found disturbing was 67% expected to have at least one of the problems listed above. If we could only go back in time, say 25 years ago. It would be interesting so do a similar survey and compare the answers.  Since I was finishing high school at that time, I can say in the most part that health wasn’t an issue nor were we plagued with the diseases as we are today in that age group. Diseases that are household names today, were not even on our radar screens. I think you could have asked the average 18-year-old 25 years ago what diabetes, asthma, allergies, ADHD/ADD was, most would tell you they have no idea. Today everyone not only knows what these terms mean, but they have friends and classmates with these very diseases, if not inflicted with the diseases themselves. The reality is that most of these diseases are preventable. When are parents going to take a real look at their children’s lifestyle? When is our education system going to put a reality check on the consequences of poor lifestyle choices?  Do most kids (and even adults) even know the answers on how to maintain health, which prevents disease?

Dr. Fimreite’s Vitamin / Supplementation List

May 30th, 2008

1.)  Omega-3 EFA (Essential Fatty Acid)   The human body does NOT generate Omega 3 it uses, therefore it MUST be obtained through dietary intake or supplementation.  Omega 3 EFA are dangerously low in the typical American diet.  These are Essential Fatty Acids found in fish, seafood, flaxseed oil and walnut oil.  These are the good fats.  Omega 3 is found in the basic unit – the cell.  The cells absorb various raw materials and act as a gateway allowing raw material we eat to be processed and then sends the processed material to the required destination with the body.  Omega-3 is essential for maintaining good HEALTH, normal growth & development and reducing inflammation and inflammatory conditions.  These fats can help you live longer with more energy and adds quality to your years.  Omega-3 EFA is ultimately responsible to regulate most bodily functions…cardiovascular, digestive, immune system, brain development, inflammatory conditions, etc.  If the diet is inadequate either lacking or unbalanced can lead to dis-ease in the vital body systems.   Danish researchers have shown the Eskimos of Greenland ate very large amounts of fatty fish and almost never developed heart disease.

Studies have shown a reduction in inflammation as seen in conditions associated with chronic pain/stiffness.

The primary sources of omega-6 are corn, soy, canola, safflower and sunflower oil; these oils are overabundant in the typical diet.  Avoid or limit these oils, Omega-3, however, are in dangerously low levels in the typical diet and should be supplemented from an outside source.  The abundance of mercury in our oceans, lakes and rivers is alarming.  Virtually all fish are contaminated with mercury, which is toxic to human consumption and should be avoided..  I strongly recommend supplementation with Omega-3 EFA or DHA. 2.) Enzymes   These are minute protein molecules that are found naturally in foods we eat.  Enzymes help to digest the foods we eat and break it down to useable, absorbable nutrients.  Our cells are dependent on nutrients to function and survive. The problem is that most foods we eat are enzyme-deficient.  Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 118º F. or above.  That means that almost any kind of food preparation destroys enzymes, ie. cook, microwave, fry, bake, grill, or processing your food.  So what happens when you are deficient or void of digestive enzymes?  Your body must draw from its supply of metabolic enzymes.  Metabolic enzymes are used when digestion enzymes are missing from our diet.  The enzymes for metabolic processes are primary used to run other processes of the body.  It’s not healthy to be using metabolic enzymes to accomplish digestion when they are supposed to be used to regulate the heart, lungs, or kidneys instead. This can lead to your body being over-worked leading to frequent sickness, premature aging and increased storage of body fat and a multitude of other problems.  When your body is deficient in digestive enzymes, your body may react with “indigestion,”  This may include burping, heartburn, abdominal pain and bad breath, excess gas, skin problems, diarrhea and constipation.  In addition your body may react with headaches, mental fatigue, nervousness, lack of concentration, memory loss, insomnia all as a result from not having enzymes.  The goal with enzymes is to help break foods down enough so it’s absorbable and the vitamins and minerals are available to supply our body to function normally and give us optimal health. I recommend supplementing with plant derived enzymes that contain the full complex of enzymes that are needed for complete digestion.3.) Multi-Vitamin    How important is a multiple vitamin?  It should never be based on how you feel.  It’s suggested that most people who die of old age, really die of malnutrition.  An organ or system over the long haul doesn’t get the proper nutrients and fails. If someone dies of an artic aneurysm, for example,  it’s suggested they really died of a malnutrition on a microscopic (histological level) due to a lack of copper over the years.  Copper is what gives the vessel its tensile strength.   Each person has their own biochemistry and each person has different nutritional requirements for each cell, organ, & system in the body.  Take your multiples!   Don’t go cheap, because some cheap multiples won’t  properly break-down.  4.) AntiOxidant   This is the vitamin that has been getting all the media attention in recent years for it’s anti-aging activity…And for good reason.  What are antioxidants?  We use oxygen to oxidize (burn) food for energy.  This “burning” process, called oxygenation, results in free radicals.  These free radicals are of minimal concern if kept at reasonable levels.  However, excessive sun exposure, cigarette smoke, alcohol, saturated fats, pollution and chemicals found in the air and water, fried foods, excessive exercise, and even our own metabolic by-products can all create free radicals.  Free radicals are unstable oxygen atoms that are very reactive and cause a lot of damage to neighboring cells and tissues.  It can result in overexposure, which leads to “oxidative stress,” a condition in which damages cells and tissues and prematurely ages us.  On average, every cell in your body comes under attack from a free radical once every ten seconds.  Excess free radicals are related to many problems and conditions such as aging, atherosclerosis, arthritis, cataracts, cancer, and over 60 other identified conditions. The purpose of Antioxidants is to capture and neutralize free radicals and escorts them out of the body before they can cause any additional damage.  This is a must for everyone.  I especially encourage antioxidants for those who work-out or spend a lot of time in the sun.  Antioxidants include Vitamins A, C, E, Beta-carotene, Selenium, Zinc, Magnesium, Manganese, and Copper.   Antioxidants now come as a Multi-Antioxidant, which means one tablet will include all of the antioxidant vitamins listed above.   6.) Probiotics   These are the friendly bacteria that line our intestinal tract.  Your may have heard of acidophilus (found to a lesser degree in yogurt), which is one strain of good bacteria found in our body.  Probiotics are also known as norma flora, which are living organisms that colonize and flourish in the healthy intestine. They serve as a backup to our body’s immune system.  They help to detoxify and suppress pathogens and promote proper digestion. Common dietary and lifestyle factors destroy these bacteria such as stress, carbonated drinks, lack of sleep, laxatives and birth control pills, antibacterial herbs and cortisone.  When the body is depleted of bowel flora or good bacteria, the body is subjected to numerous diseases including colitis, diabetes, meningitis, rheumatoid arthritis, thyroid disease and even bowel cancer. Even flues and colds are more frequent and debilitating.  Antibiotics are frequently used by many physicians to fight disease.  The problem is that not only do they kill the bad bacteria, they also wipe out the good strain of bacteria.  So while you may get rid of your cold or ear infection, you may be letting a yeast infection or uncheck or contributing to other potential problems.Supplement with probiotics. 6.) Vegetable / Fruit Mix   There’s a good chance that most americans don’t get the vitamins and minerals in the vegetables and fruit we eat. The reason why is that what’s added to produce is: pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and perhaps in depleted soil.  Here’s a list of the advantages:

  • Increase energy, naturally, without stimulants
  • Reduce appetite, improve metabolism, assisting weight loss efforts
  • Restore regular elimination and assist digestion
  • Reduce inflammation, relieve stiff and achy joints and muscles
  • Lower risk of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and stroke
  • Inhibit hardening of the arteries
  • Protect you vision from age related vision loss and blindness (ARMD)
  • Maintain strong bones
  • Support immune function and increase resistance to infections
  • Reduce allergy symptoms without drowsiness
  • Improve mental acuity and protect mind and memory
  • Detoxify toxic metals and chemicals

Help slow aging of the skin and dulling of the hair 7.) Immune System Builders    If you’re feeling illness or coming down with the flu, please follow this link.  Strengthen Your Immune System 8.) Glycosamine & Chondroitin Sulfate  Beneficial for joint problems and arthritis sufferers. more info Inflammation is the cause of disease and creates conditions like asthma, allergies, pain, etc. Gastric Reflux, Indigestion, etc. are signs of inflammation affecting the intestinal tract.   Anti-Inflammatory EatingClick here so see Why Diets Fail

Doctor’s Don’t Heal

May 28th, 2008

by Dr. Gordon Fimreite

I was reading a book called, “Challenging Orthodoxy,”by Warren Levin, M.D. One of the statements he said was, “I think physicians in this country are still taught that they fix people. I don’t believe that doctors fix people, not even surgeons. Surgeons today do absolutely awesome feats of technology, but ultimately the surgical procedure ends with the patient being sewn up, put together and, at that point, healing has to take place. Either the patient’s body is going to heal or it is not.”  It’s how healthy your body is that will determine how well you heal. If we take a proactive stance on our health, we can control our health and healing. Example: there are germs all around us. We are all exposed to germs all the time. Why is that some people get sick and others don’t, especially considering we’re all exposed to the same germs. Answer, It’s our internal environment and how well it is equipped to handle the external environment. What we do to ensure our body functions at its optimum is crucial to fending off disease and facilitate healing.  Things you can do: 1.) Reduce nervous system interference through chiropractic adjustments (The nervous   system control everything including immunity and healing function). 2.)  Eating properly.  3.) Getting plenty of rest. 4.) Exercising.  5.) Handling stress (physical & mental). 6.) Taking supplements, etc.  Health is defined as “a state of optimal physical mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease and infirmity.” If we optimize the health of our body, we are able to fight disease, infection (bacteria or viral), and life a fuller healthier life.
